AI-Driven Mockups for Product Launches
I’ve always enjoyed experimenting with new tools, and for this project, I explored AI technologies like Adobe Firefly, MidJourney, and Stable Diffusion to create high-fidelity mockups for a new smart home lighting product line. Since the product wasn’t fully built or installed yet, I used MidJourney to generate initial room concepts, then refined them with Adobe Firefly to depict realistic environments showcasing controllable lighting. These tools allowed me to combine AI-generated visuals with traditional design techniques, creating polished mockups that brought the product to life while enhancing the creative process.
The Process
As part of the design process, I experimented with AI tools like Adobe Firefly and MidJourney to create visual concepts for the smart home lighting product line. The key to this experimentation was crafting thoughtful prompts tailored to generate images that reflected the desired tone, style, and functionality. I adjusted parameters such as lighting conditions, room layouts, and ambiance to align with the product’s vision, ensuring the generated visuals conveyed the feeling of controllable lighting in real-world scenarios.
These AI-generated mockups became a collaborative tool for working with the photographer, creative director, product marketing managers, and product development managers. By sharing early visual concepts, we established a cohesive tone and feel for the product. The mockups served as a starting point for discussions, enabling the team to refine messaging, photography, and design elements. This collaborative approach not only saved time but also ensured that the final visuals were consistent with the product’s identity and aligned with stakeholder expectations.
